In February of 2008 I was in West Virginia and this shot was setup for me. I was not aware of the requirement of making the shot, I hadn't even taken a weapon. But, unknown to me this shot was setup and my weapon was brought up to West Virginia for the purpose of this test. 1000 meter shot across a deep ravine with a river in the bottom of it. The target is a 12" x 18" steel target that we use at C2 all the time. 1000 meters is 1100 yards with a 20" barreled .308 rifle.
